Chris Burton, Parking Operations Manager for the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioner’s parking department, says the organisation wanted to offer more comprehensive parking payment choices for customers. “We chose PayByPhone, having looked at the market for cashless payment providers, and found the services it provided met our needs and met the needs of a wide demographic of our car park users,” he says.
The appointment comes in time for the first-ever Whitehaven Live event, which will run from 9 to 11 September 2022. The event will be held by the harbour, featuring live entertainment as well as food and drink stalls along the promenade. Thousands of people are expected to visit Whitehaven Harbour during that weekend, so easy parking payment will help locals and visitors alike have an enjoyable experience.
